SIX COMMUNICATION
CHECKS FOR OPERATORS
01
The final 2026 deadline
The 2026–27 family window ran February 4–March 31, 2026. March 17 was the original deadline; the state’s Year 1 report identifies the extension through March 31.
02
2027–28 updates
The state offers an interest list for the next application cycle. An interest-list signup is not an application or award. Confirm new dates with the official program before announcing them.
03
Explain the award carefully
The 2026–27 standard private-school award is $10,474 for an awarded child at a participating school. Additional disability funding may be available under specific rules; it is not automatic.
04
Pre-K needs its own check
Provider requirements and family eligibility for pre-K differ from K–12. Do not imply that every daycare, program or child qualifies. Link to the specific official requirements.
05
State your actual status
Publish participation claims only after the school confirms them. Use the official provider finder for current listings rather than an unverified copy of a directory.
06
Give each question an owner
Keep a dated source register, a named school contact and a review trigger for changed guidance. Your admissions process should explain school steps separately from state decisions.
